Terms & Conditions – Active Skip Bins
Thank you for choosing Active Skip Bins and supporting our family owned and operated business. To provide a safe and efficient service, the following conditions must be agreed to, before placing an online order.
Additional Charges – Charges will apply if the bin is overloaded (by weight and/or volume) or contaminated with waste that is not included in your order. Please read the inclusions carefully and contact us if you have any questions.
Standard Hire Term – Includes delivery, collection and up to 7 days of hire of a skip bin. Additional charges will apply for extra days and declarable items.
Prices – All prices on our Website include goods and services tax (GST) and are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Payment – Online bookings accept payment options via EFT, Cash (upon delivery) & Credit Card. A 2% booking fee is applied to Credit Card bookings. EFT payments need to be confirmed before delivery. If you would prefer to arrange payment over the phone, please contact us.
Placement of the Skip Bin – Our professional drivers will make the final decision about where the bin can be placed. This is to ensure we follow our Public Liability requirements of our Insurance cover. We prefer that someone is home when the bin is dropped off, so that we can get specific instructions on where you would like the bin placed. If nobody is home, we will follow any instructions that we have been given and/or drop the bin in the most suitable place.
Moving of Skip Bins – Bins must NOT be moved from their delivery position without the permission of Active Skip Bins.
Overloaded bins – Do NOT over fill the bin. We must be able to secure and transport the load safely. Approximately 20cm above the top of the bin is usually acceptable. If bins are unable to be secured safely, some excess rubbish may be removed from the bin, and left on the property.
Overweight bins – Our prices include a standard amount of weight per waste type. If your bin exceeds the allocated weight, an additional waste fee will be charged at the current Waste Fee price. We will make reasonable attempts to communicate any excess charges with you.
Damage to bins – Any damage incurred to the skip bin during the hire term must be notified to Active Skip Bins. Damage resulting from lack of care may be repaired at customer’s expense.
Hirer’s Responsibility – The Hirer is responsible for the skip bin upon delivery and for the duration of the hire term.
Refund Policy – Cancellation – A refund will be issued if the cancellation of the order is at least 24 hours prior to delivery. A $20 administration fee will be retained for bank fees and other costs.
Refund Policy – Order Not Provided – We will issue a full refund for any order that requested and not provided.
Prohibited and Declarable items – Please view the current list of Prohibited Items, and other declarable items. Additional fees will be charged if we are not informed of declarable items.
Limitation of Liability – Active Skip Bins will not take responsibility for any damage to your property regarding the placement and/or collection of the Skip Bin.
Online Internet Security – Active Skip Bins have made reasonable attempts to make our website secure including the installation of a SSL certificate but we cannot be held accountable for internet security. We do not accept responsibility if some or any of your personal details are acquired by hackers or any other unauthorised person or entity.
Changes to Terms and Conditions – Active Skip Bins may update these Terms and Conditions on the Website.
Changes to Skip Bin Prices – Active Skip Bins may update the skip bin prices on the Website, without notice. Pre-ordered skip bin prices will generally be honored.
